Visible Mending Workshop ~ Needle Felting

Let’s have fun learning how to repair your knitwear!

This is for an in person workshop held at 2005 Danforth Ave. Just west of Woodbine.  Street parking is limited.  Woodbine subway stop is closest.  
I’ll teach you the simple techniques of needle felting.  You’ll be able to visibly mend your holes, spots & stains while beautifying your garment.

This technique is best for articles of knitwear with small holes or simply to decorate your garment without needing repair.   Best technique for cashmere or wool..  not suitable for cotton or blends.  

All supplies are included: fabrics scraps to practice on, felting needles, snips, vast colour assortment of wool for patching & a felting mat

please feel free to bring an article of clothing you’d like to work on including cashmere or wool sweaters, scarves or mittens

There will be an assortment of cashmere sweaters to purchase for $30 if you’d like a new project to work on.

you get a little kit to take home including:

• 2 needlefelt needles (2 sizes)
• wooden handle for needles
• Needlefelt pad
• some wool to start you off

Workshop held at the back room at the Healing Collective.  Please come through the front, be quiet through the halls, as there may be folks in session, kick off your shoes before entering the room.
