Visible Mending Workshop ~ Darning

Let’s have fun learning how to repair your knitwear!

This is for an in person workshop held at 2005 Danforth Ave. Just west of Woodbine.  Street parking is limited.  Woodbine subway stop is closest.  

I’ll teach you the simple techniques of darning.  You’ll be able to visibly mend your holes, spots & stains while beautifying your garment.

All supplies are included: fabrics scraps to practice on, needles, snips, embroidery thread & a darning mushroom

please feel free to bring an article of clothing you’d like to work on including sweaters, socks or even small repairs on jeans

There will be an assortment of cashmere sweaters to purchase for $30 if you’d like a new project to work on.

you get a little kit to take home including:

• 2 needles (one sharp, one ball point)
• a wooden darning mushroom
• A skein of embroidery thread to start you off

Workshop held at the back room at the Healing Collective.  Please come through the front, be quiet through the halls, as there may be folks in session, kick off your shoes before entering the room.
